Community Coffee Hour
Providing Free Meals and Support to Fill the Gaps.
Food insecurity is a widespread issue in South King County, Washington, with many individuals and families facing challenges in accessing nutritious and affordable food. The REACH Meal Coalition continues to actively work to address this problem by offering free meals to those in need.
What we do.
In Renton, we are tackling food insecurity head-on by providing hot, nutritious meals every Friday at the Downtown Renton Library. This partnership ensures that families and individuals facing food insecurity have a reliable source of support. While our services have shifted from daily to weekly, our mission remains steadfast—offering meals that help nourish the community. In addition to meals, we provide essential resources like food to go, toiletries, and clothing. Peer Kent is on-site to offer additional resources and referrals, ensuring that individuals have access to the support they need.
Together, we are making sure no one goes hungry.

"Without the meal program I would not be able to eat most of the time. Not only that, but they are friendly and courteous, very kind, and try to fill needs as they can such as clean socks, toothbrushes, other toiletries, and an ear to lend when I need advice or merely someone to talk to when feeling alone in this world"
